Spade
and shovel – No gardener in this earth could ever have an easy
life without having these two gardening tools nearby. The spade
and shovel are to a gardener what a dog is to man in general.
They are, in short, a gardener’s best friends. These two gardening
tools can be utilized in so many situations that it’s easier
to think of a reason why you shouldn’t purchase them. And the
answer to that: nothing! There’s no reason why you shouldn’t
purchase a spade and a shovel so you make sure that you have
them in the tool room once you start on your gardening plans.
Pry Bar – There’s no gardening tool
that’s probably as “strong” as the pry bar. This gardening tool
is used to get rid of big boulders that are unfortunately in
the way. It can also be used simply to pry out the boulders
if they serve another purpose and you don’t want them to be
broken apart. The pry bar is also known as the breaker bar.
Spading Fork – There are a number of
tasks that a spading fork can help you accomplish once again,
you have all the reason you need to purchase this gardening
tool. Besides helping you out with aerating and transplanting,
a spading fork can also help in sorting hay and mulch as well
as serve as a manure fork.
Roto-Tiller – This gardening tool is
slightly more expensive than others and is not considered to
be a sensible buy so some gardeners usually prefer to just rent
one whenever there’s a need. But anyway, a roto-tiller’s basic
purpose is to help gardeners establish a bed. Unfortunately,
if you use the roto-tiller often – say, every year – there’s
a good chance that the quality of your soil won’t be as good
as before because the roto-tiller can cause the soil to break
down and weed seed to spring up – circumstances that you should
avoid at all costs!
Garden Carts – Generally, garden carts
are used to help you transport and dump things such as boulders
from one part of the garden to another. If you have a big garden
or you’re specializing in a rock garden type, then yes, owning
a garden cart is ideal.
Mattock – This gardening tool is a
combination of two other gardening tools, namely, the hoe and
the pick. But that combination is for the better because the
mattock shall prove to be a reliable gardening tool for tough
jobs like breaking soil.
There are other gardening tools that
you could purchase as well but for the meantime, you could do
well already with the ones listed above!
